How we make suggestions
The suggestions are based on your answers and on public information from authorities, municipalities and other organisations that offer support.
What we do
We compare your answers with the most common conditions for each type of support.
We show the support that seems most relevant first, but never as a promise.
We always link to whoever is responsible for the support, where you apply and get a decision.
What we don't do
We don't make decisions and can't see your details at any authority.
We don't save your answers and never ask for a personal identity number or BankID.
In the suggestions we don't show exact amounts, because they change and depend on your situation. The calculators only give estimates.
We never say you are entitled to support, only that it likely or possibly fits.
We never send your answers or results to advertising networks.
How the information is kept up to date
Every rule Rättkoll uses must have:
an official source at the authority, in law or in regulation
dates for when the rule applies, so older versions can be reproduced
test cases, compared with the authority's own calculators where possible
a named reviewer who approves every change
{{freshText}}
When an authority changes its rules, the change is reviewed before it is used. Every support page shows the rule year and when it was last checked.
How AI is used
A rules engine, not AI, assesses which support may fit you. AI is only used to explain results in plain language and to help with drafts, for example in Assist. Every answer can be traced to your details, the rule version and the source.
How Rättkoll is funded
The check is free. Rättkoll earns money from optional services such as monitoring and help with applications, and from licences to organisations that want to offer Rättkoll to their customers or staff. We never take a share of your support, and nobody pays to have a type of support shown higher up. See prices
Rättkoll Index
Rule changes and dates that affect households and businesses, collected in one place. The index is based only on public sources and contains no personal data.
October 2026 edition · 8 changes · Updated every month
Changes added since your last visit are marked New. This is stored only in your browser.
1 January 2026
ROT deduction back to 30 percent
The temporary increase to 50 percent of the labour cost only applied in 2025. From 2026 the ROT deduction is 30 percent again. RUT is unchanged at 50 percent.
Interest on, for example, personal loans no longer gives a tax reduction. Interest on mortgages and other secured loans still gives 30 percent up to 100,000 SEK.
If you received social assistance for all of July–December 2025 and are now working, you can get a monthly premium for up to 18 months. You apply month by month.
If Försäkringskassan overpays you because you gave incorrect information or did not report a change, you repay the amount plus a sanction fee of 25 percent, at least 2,368 SEK.
The support is paid automatically to whoever held the electricity grid agreement on 28 February 2026. Those still waiting are paid weekly from the end of August 2026. You don't need to apply.
Försäkringskassan will stop reconciling most housing allowances a year afterwards, and will instead check income every month. This lowers the risk that you need to pay money back.
To receive child allowance, housing allowance and basic-level parental benefit, among others, people moving to Sweden must meet new requirements, such as having lived here for a certain time or having had a certain income.
Every change has an official source and the date we checked it.
The index is based on rules, not on users. No answers or results from the check are included.
Journalists, organisations and partners are welcome to quote the index with a source. Contact: rattkoll@accruvia.se

Calculators
Work out roughly what a deduction or tax reduction could be worth to you. The rules apply to income year 2026, and nothing you type is saved.
Housing allowance depends on the whole household's income and housing. For that we point you to Försäkringskassan's own calculator, linked from the support page.

Who is responsible for your data?
Rättkoll is run by Accruvia AB, org. no. 559569-1048, {{addr}}. Accruvia AB is the data controller.
The free check
Rättkoll does not save your answers. They only exist in your browser, in the tab you are using, so you can continue if you reload the page. They disappear when you close the tab. You don't need to give your name, personal identity number or BankID.
Measurement and cookies
We measure how the site is used without cookies and without storing personal data, so we can see where the questions need to be clearer. We use no advertising tools, and your answers or results are never sent to advertising networks. That is why we don't need a cookie banner. We only store your choice of light or dark mode in your browser.
The waiting list
If you sign up, we store your email address to tell you when Plus and Assist launch. You can unsubscribe at any time, and we delete the address by [time limit] at the latest.
Plus and Assist, once launched
If you choose to save a profile, we only store the details needed for monitoring, and you can delete the profile at any time. Documents you upload in Assist are stored separately and deleted according to [retention period].
These terms cover the paid services Plus, Assist, Business and Application support. The agreement is with Accruvia AB, reg. no. 559569-1048. The free check needs no agreement.
What Rättkoll does, and doesn't do
Rättkoll shows support that likely or possibly fits, and helps you prepare an application. The authority or whoever provides the support always makes the decision. Rättkoll does not apply for you and never takes a share of any support.
Prices and payment
Prices for individuals include VAT. Plus is paid monthly or yearly. Assist and Application support are paid per case.
Cancellation
Plus can be cancelled at any time and remains active until the end of the period you have paid for.
Rättkoll should be usable by everyone. We work towards WCAG 2.1 level AA, the basis of the European standard EN 301 549.
What we have done
Strong contrast between text and background, in both light and dark mode
Everything works with a keyboard, with a clear focus indicator
Headings, labels and buttons that work with screen readers
One question at a time, with plain words and short answer choices
Large tap targets that work well on mobile

For organisations
Offer Rättkoll to your tenants, staff, members or clients, without building your own rules. We always start with a paid pilot with clear goals, from 20,000 SEK excluding VAT.
What a pilot can look like
Housing companies
Help tenants find income they are missing, before rent arrears grow.
Pilot: 8–12 weeks with your own calculator and adviser access.
Employers and HR
A private check of financial rights as a real employee benefit.
Pilot: one year, with a strict privacy wall.
Accounting and payroll
Find reliefs and support for your clients before deadlines pass.
Pilot: an adviser view across 20–100 clients.
Banks and fintech
Add a financial health feature without building Swedish rules in-house.
Pilot: widget or API sandbox, then a limited customer group.
Incubators and business organisations
Give every portfolio company a funding and support review.
Pilot: a portfolio dashboard and monitoring of open calls.
Privacy first
Employers never see individual employees' results, income or health details.
You only get aggregated statistics, without personal data.
No results are sent to advertising networks.
Every answer can be traced to a rule version and source.

These are suggestions, not decisions. Only whoever is responsible for the support can decide whether you are entitled to it and how much you can get. Likely means your answers match the main conditions. Possible means it depends on more than we asked about. More information needed means we are missing an answer to assess it.
